ManageEngine Releases EventLog Analyzer 7.0; Adds Agent for Log Collection and User Authentication Methods

Austin, TX, June 09, 2011-- ManageEngine, makers of a globally renowned suite of cost effective network, systems, applications and security management software solutions, today announced the release of EventLog Analyzer 7.0, real-time event and application log monitoring software, now offering an alternate means of collecting log data and authenticating user accounts. The new capabilities are designed to meet the security standards of some organizations, as well as expand support for additional directory applications.

With EventLog Analyzer 7.0, ManageEngine offers both agent-less and agent-based log collection techniques, providing seamless collection of log data from hosts and applications. The software now also supports more user authentication methods, including support for Active Directory and Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service (RADIUS) servers.

"We're constantly listening to our customers to ensure our software evolves to meet their needs," said Chenthil Kumaran, product manager, ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer. "In certain environments with specific security concerns our customers have asked for agent-based log collection techniques and we've delivered."

"I can't imagine how one would make a great product even better, but it seems like you're finding ways to do it," said Dimitri Yioulos, Chief Information Officer and Director, Facilities Management, First 1 Financial Corporation. "ManageEngine is responsive to the needs of IT professionals and can be counted on to continually enhance its software."

ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer helps IT managers guard against internal user threats, maintain and demonstrate compliance with government regulations and ensure optimal security and performance of servers, switches, routers, operating systems and applications. EventLog Analyzer automates and centralizes the collection and analysis of device and application event logs from across the enterprise. It can alert IT administrators to specific events and automatically generate detailed, custom reports. This real-time alerting and reporting allows IT administrators to quickly identify user behaviors that violate company policies, as well as understand the root cause of any hardware or software anomalies on the network.

ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer generates reports that allow organizations to demonstrate compliance with various regulations, such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). The software also archives logs for the purpose of network/compliance auditing and forensic analysis.
